Blockchain Scotland aimed to create a new website and pitch deck to attract sponsors and increase event attendance. The goal was to establish Blockchain Scotland as the premier Scottish hub for all things blockchain—professional enough to attract sponsors and institutions, yet approachable for members and individuals.

Objectives

  • Primary Goal: Develop a new website and pitch deck to attract sponsors and increase event attendees.
  • Secondary Objective: Establish a strong brand identity that reflects Blockchain Scotland’s vision as a leading blockchain hub in Scotland.

Approach

  • Initial Alignment: Realigned the perception and vision of Blockchain Scotland, focusing on creating the first Scottish hub for blockchain that balances professionalism with approachability.
  • Logo Creation: Designed a logo with a Celtic shape symbolising connection, using colours that represent Scotland: dark blue, purple thistle, and green for technology.
  • Digital Tartan: Created a unique digital tartan pattern using Illustrator, representing Blockchain Scotland’s identity.
  • Pitch Deck and Social Media: Designed the pitch deck and social media post templates on Figma based on the new branding, ensuring consistency across platforms.

Execution

  • Brand Kit Development: Structured a comprehensive brand kit including:
    • Colors, logos, 3D logos, logomarks, and wordmarks in SVG and PNG formats.
    • Unique icons for websites and other channels.
    • Custom fonts for the logo, titles, and paragraphs.
    • Various patterns/tartans colours.
    • Multiple choices for profile pictures and banner images for social media.

  • Website Design and Development:
    • Designed the website on Figma, incorporating all branding elements.
    • Built the website on Webflow, ensuring it is scalable and easy to update with new pages, solutions, or integrations. Visit the website.
