I founded Calileo from scratch, building a team of passionate engineers and marketers to bring this decentralised social media platform to life. As the project leader, I was involved in every aspect of its development, from branding to technical implementation and marketing strategies.
Objectives
- Primary Goal: Develop a decentralised social media platform that leverages blockchain technology to offer unique features for content creators and brands.
- Secondary Objectives: Build a strong brand identity, create comprehensive documentation, and establish strategic partnerships to support the platform's growth.
Approach
- Brand Creation: Designed and developed the Calileo brand, including the logo and all visual elements. Ensured consistency across all branding materials.
- Visuals and Media: Created all visual content for Calileo, including social media templates, pitch decks, and promotional materials. Developed a unique and unified brand identity.
- Documentation: Authored a litepaper, whitepaper, onepager, and structured a GitBook and help centre to provide detailed information about Calileo’s vision, technology, and use cases.
- Technical Development: Collaborated with a UX/UI design agency and engineers to build a decentralised application (dApp) using React, TypeScript, NestJS, and blockchain integrations. Utilised MongoDB for database management and IPFS (via Pinata) for media content storage.
Execution
- Product Leadership: Led the product development process, ensuring that the platform met its technical and user experience goals. Oversaw the work of engineers and designers to bring the project to fruition following a strict yet flexible product roadmap of features.
- Marketing and Outreach: Directed marketing activities to generate interest in Calileo during its early stages. Created and implemented marketing strategies to engage potential users and stakeholders.
- Partnership Development: Worked on developing partnerships with multiple actors in the blockchain space, enhancing Calileo’s network and credibility.
- Achievements: Secured 2nd place in a Hackathon and an accelerator program, demonstrating the platform’s potential and innovation.
Outcomes
- Results: Successfully launched Calileo at an MVP/Alpha stage with a strong brand identity and a well-structured decentralised application. The platform gained significant attention and credibility through strategic marketing and partnership efforts.
- User Feedback: Positive feedback from early users and stakeholders, highlighting the platform’s innovative features and user-friendly design.
